My sister was diagnosed with type 1 while in college. She had to return home, and it took a few years for her to find herself, get a good routine, go back to school, and more or less be normal. It's a hard journey. Love your reflection on it, and may you always keep laughing about it. Dia-Petey is gold!
And nice thematic work on ST! Hadn't put that together with season 4 before, but it's a good lens.
Credit for that name must go to my youngest daughter, she just blurted it out! Despite the fact I was away in hospital for about 2 days, my children seemed unfazed that my life had changed completely overnight. Probably for the best, really.
I've nearly finished Stranger Things completely, only got the finale of S5 to go. Yet I still can't think of what the overall theme of it is compared to the others, which is bothering me slightly. Still enjoying it though.
Peter! You are doing the most important things first. Therefore, you are a good person and a good father. I love your work (especially the Sonic pieces), and am looking forward to more (especially Super Metroid).
It's lovely that you are taking the time to sit down and watch shows with your kids, I think that's a great bonding activity. I'm sure the kids are loving it.
Also, I'm glad that you are feeling better about your diagnosis. I'm sure it's been overwhelming, but you got this! You already seem to have a plan, and I hope that it helps you manage this more easily over time.
And don't worry about just leaving a 'like' on the posts. Sometimes a simple 'like' goes a long way to show support!
Thanks Oya. The Arcane loving daughter is now watching My Hero Academia. I've watched a few episodes with her and she fills in the gaps of my lack of knowledge, but boy do I love the absolutely over the top anime style!
But the internet says I should have been massively popular by now, and earning a fortune in ad revenue! Therefore, I'm an utter failure! 😂
Some things are becoming a bit more automatic now, thanks. I'm the kind of person who likes routines and order, so I can remember when to do things well, but need to learn to constantly adjust which is the harder part. It has become part of everyday life now at least.
I'm looking forward to playing more games soon though!

Thank you Dylan. I too am looking forward to my Super Metroid post, since it has been sitting idle for nearly 6 months!

That’s a hell of a thing to find out! Here’s hoping it doesn’t consume all your brain, all the best and look forward to your next piece!
(PS I’ve managed one post a month this year and I’m incredibly proud of managing that with life, so you should be too!)
